Opening Session 2

After a nearly three-year, pandemic-induced hiatus, the Amtech Users Group (AUG) was brought back online with a meeting in Music City, U.S.A.

A group of nearly 50 Amtech users, representing 30 packaging manufacturers, assembled at the Cambria Hotel in downtown Nashville, TN. They were joined by a small contingent of Amtech professionals who were on hand to listen to the group's feedback and provide an update on the current state and future plans for Amtech offerings.

The two-day event included training seminars on key software functions and breakout sessions to discuss desired enhancements to various Amtech products.

Other orders of business included electing board members.

Returning Board Members
  • Casey Shaw, Batavia Container
  • Oved Jimenez, Hood Container
  • Melissa Stanton, Jamestown Container
  • Amy Morton, Hood Container
New Board Members
  • Christian Nelson, Nelson Container
  • Kristin Snyder, Queen City Industrial Solutions

The second day included an all-hands discussion and final vote on the enhancements the group would officially request from Amtech. Those included enhancements to the spec entry screens, shipping manager notifications, and improved visibility into open orders by machine for CSRs.

The Amtech Users Group is an independent organization that, while enjoying a long partnership with Amtech, is staffed and governed entirely by volunteers from the packaging industry. All Amtech users are welcome to join the group and participate in learning, networking, problem-solving, and collaboration the group provides.
