The Story
Background
Established in 1995, ID Images has grown to become an award-winning label manufacturer with 16 facilities across North America. Through organic growth and acquisitions, the company is focused on building the scale, capabilities and the team to deliver world-class label solutions, fast service, and unmatched expertise to their valued customers.
Forming a lasting relationship
In 2011, Richie Muniak joined the organization with responsibility for Accounting, HR, IT and Quality. Richie recalls “In those early days I was wearing a lot of hats and learning the intricacies of our business. About that time is when the acquisition activity started picking up steam. I think we integrated six companies and started two greenfield facilities in eight years.”
“Recognizing it would take a village, I found myself collaborating deeply with the folks at Label Traxx as our business evolved. I knew I needed to architect a tech stack that could scale with the company. Running and maintaining standalone environments would prove to be too chaotic. Eventually, I got to know the founders of Label Traxx who listened intently and got to understand our needs, recognizing the industry was changing and I believe we represented that change. They proved to be trustworthy, flexible partners willing to double down on the evolving industry they originally committed to serve.”
“Users of all experience levels grasp the interface and the workflows very quickly – Label Traxx has clearly been designed for our specific environment.”
– Cindy Wozniak, National Customer Service Manager
Solving critical business challenges
Stock Products: One of the first business lines to grow rapidly was stock blank labels and supplies used in distribution and industrial settings. Consumer adoption of ecommerce led to a rapidly growing catalog and very high order volumes. The introduction of Stock Products and flows to drive the ordering, production, receipt and fulfillment of these products were critical to establishing ID Images as a leader in this line of business
Online Presence: With growth came the need to modernize order flows. Online ordering channels were designed to integrate directly with Label Traxx using the API. The company also deployed IDI Plus, a Siteline branded portal from Label Traxx, to provide corporate customers a streamlined experience.
Scale: Most importantly, Label Traxx needed to keep pace with the rate of growth and scale accordingly. System performance and reliability were must-haves. ID Images business mandated high transaction volume, high user count and activity, in two languages and two currencies. The underlying platform proved up to the task, all the while modernizing for today’s business requirements such as interoperability and access to real-time data.
“I get a kick out of experts who claim to know Label Traxx is designed for small companies. I’m currently running over 400 users on two systems supporting our North American Operations. That seems kind of big to me”
– Richie Muniak, Chief Information Officer
Supporting continued growth
Jeff Fielkow joined ID Images as President & CEO in 2021 with 25+ years experience, much of it in Food & Beverage Packaging. Jeff recalled, “I immediately recognized ID Images was unique. The organization had achieved so much but the pace of change was only going to accelerate. I heard great things about our customers and our supplier partners, especially Label Traxx.”
Jeff’s prediction was correct, as the company continues to expand and design new sales channels – online and traditional. “The expanded capabilities that Siteline offers, fuels our ability to create new channels, better integrate existing channels and innovate for our customers”
“With our continued focus on Mergers & Acquisitions (and the associated complexity), I can rest comfortably at night confidently assured my team can get new locations integrated and humming in a matter of weeks. That’s a differentiator from competitors relying on alternative systems with excess overhead bogging down the pace of implementations and slowing user adoption.”
– Jeff Fielkow, President and Chief Executive Officer
